Over the course of the semester, I have picked up new Spanish skills. I can read, write, speak, and listen in Spanish, albeit I have a personal advantage in that I was already familiar with the most of these abilities. Since I've always had trouble speaking Spanish with confidence, this course included exercises that forced me to use the language in two different situations: a discussion with a classmate v multiple times I've had to record myself speaking Spanish. Additionally, I am competent at writing tasks or essays that reflect research in Spanish. another thing that really helped me this semester finding out that speaking Spanish is just like working out if you do not continue to exercise that muscle it will stop growing and shrink. I've been able to expand my language pallet because I have been forced to use Spanish
